What Is IMSI Treatment?
IMSI is a treatment for male infertility that involves the injection of a single sperm into an egg. The sperm is selected from a pool of sperm that have been previously frozen and thawed. IMSI is done using a high-powered microscope to select the sperm with the best morphology, or shape. This is done in an attempt to improve the chances of fertilization and pregnancy.

How Does IMSI Treatment Work?
The first step is for the male to provide a sperm sample, which will then be analyzed by the embryologist. The embryologist will use a high-powered microscope to select the sperm that they believe will have the best chance of fertilizing the egg. Once the sperm has been selected, it will be injected into the egg using a very thin needle.
The egg will then be placed into a incubator, where it will be monitored closely. After 5-6 days, the embryo will be transferred into the uterus, where it will hopefully implant and grow into a healthy pregnancy.
IMSI treatment is often used for couples who have failed to conceive through traditional IVF treatment. It is also sometimes used for couples who have a history of miscarriage, as it can help to increase the chances of a successful pregnancy.
